Theatre Topic

In this project you will be looking at how ICT could be used in the context of a Theatre Production

Task- Your first task is to produce a logo for the theatre using a drawing programme.


Design a Logo - Instructions



A logo is a small graphic that a company uses on all of it's products and documents.

It may or maynot include text. I am sure that you could describe some well known ones...

At the top of the page there is an example of one that has been done for the Little Theatre

You have to design your own
 
 


Here is a step by step guide on how to make a logo using Serif Draw Plus.
 

Three Stages:

1 : Draw a shape for a Background

  1. Load up Serif Draw Plus.  (Start menu / all programmes)
  2. Click on Create a Drawing
  3. Double click on A4 paper size
  4. Draw a Rectangle with the Quick box tool
  5. Use the node tool to change the Rectangle
  6. Use the fill tool to fill the shape with colour
  7. (Right hand button with fill tool to change fill and line colour)


2  : Put in the text
 

  1. Click on the text tool
  2. Click and drag for font size
  3. Write the text that you want
  4. Right hand button on text to change font, colour etc
  5. Drag text on to the background shape


3  : Put in a small picture  (Optional)
 

  1. Load Publisher and add an appropriate bit of clip art
  2. Copy and paste that clip art on to your logo in Serif Draw
  3. Drag all the pieces together to arrange your logo
Now Save your work!


Then you have to save only the logo you have made as a GIF file...
This will allow you to put just the logo on to different documents

You are now ready to put your logo on to a tickets, letter heads and other documents.
