High, 1034mb, stretching from Iceland to Germany is pulling W as a deepening
wave moved SE from Greenland across Scandinavia into the Baltic.  Pressure
is falling in the North Sea and a cold front is expected to move into some N
and E districts of the British Isles.  Low, 1000mb, Adriatic, is stationary
with a cold front moving SW across Iberia.

Weather over the British Isles:

Just a few snow showers, mainly in the E: Newcastle receiving the most - 4mm
rain equivalent.  Most places had sun though fog persisted at a few
stations, such as Birmingham and Manchester.:  Thorney Island 5.3hrs,
Aberporth 6.4 hrs Newcastle 2.9 hrs, Benbecula 6.8 hrs and Valentia 5.5 hrs.
