Low, 968mb, 300 miles W of Ireland is almost stationary with troughs moving
very slowly E.  Milder air has pushed into all of Ireland, Wales, SW England
and SW Scotland. New low, 986 mb, is moving E towards NW Spain.  Pressure
remains high over the Greenland- Scandinavia region, with a small low
forming over N Norway.

Weather over the British Isles:

Cloudy everywhere, except behind the fronts over Ireland.  Rain fell in a
NW-SE line, with snow in parts of the S and E, and over higher ground of
Scotland, with blizzards in places.  Guernsey had 17 mm, Ross-on -Wye 15 mm,
St Mawgan 21 mm - all rain.  Dishforth 11 mm, Eskdalemuir 6 mm, Birmingham 5
mm, Dyce 6 mm - all sleet/snow.
