Trough to SW of Br.Isles has persisted and a low in the SW approaches has
drifted E towards Brittany and is likely to drift further into France, with
some filling. A further low is expected to develop over Central Europe.
High, NE Greenland is slow moving, with a ridge extending to N Scotland.
Small high, 1012 mb, S Scandinavia and low NW Norway.
Weather over the British Isles:
Most places were sunny by day with a little snow in the S and E, but many
central areas stayed dry. It became more cloudy overnight in the S and
light to moderate snow was widely reported. Winds were light in the N but
moderate from the E in the S.
Most stations were still reporting snow lying, except in the far SW, S parts
of Ireland , parts of NW England and some coastal fringes of Scotland.
