High from Scandinavia across central Europe has persisted, with an intense
low, 952 mb, moving slowly N over the Atlantic.  Slow moving fronts will
again weaken off W Ireland.

Almost unbroken sunshine everywhere followed by a clear night, except in the
far W of Ireland where cloud thickened.  Sunniest were Guernsey and Carlisle
with 10.0 hrs, Glasgow 9.5 hrs, Belfast 7.5 hrs, Wick 8.5 hrs.
