Low pressure dominates all of N Europe, with one centre, 988 mb, Gulf of
Bothnia, and the other 976mb, just W of Ireland which has moved more slowly
than expected with its circulation covering all of the Br.Isles.  Troughs
are moving NE across SW Ireland and into SW England.  High, 1048mb, SE
Greenland, persists.

Weather over the British Isles:

By day there was some sun in most places where fog cleared: Glasgow being
the sunniest with 6.9 hrs.  Overnight, persistent snow moved into SW areas
turning to rain in the far SW.

Forecast:  The thaw will continue in the SW and extend a little E and N to
parts of Wales and the SW Midlands and central parts of Ireland.  The E will
be dry, but further outbreaks of rain and snow are expected in parts of the
W and S.  Frost will be severe again in the E and N.
