All Saints Choir (the Scarlet Singers!)
In 2003 the Bishop of Salisbury came to All Saints to worship with us. When thanking us he thanked the "wonderful Scarlet Singers" (the choir dressed in their red robes) and since then the name has stuck. The choir are a group of adults and children from the Parish who enjoy singing although none of them are professionally trained. Their enthusiasm is such that they will try anything once - then if it sounds good they will sing it again, and again. The choir sing at the 10am Sunday service, weddings and concerts. They also take part in the Choral Festival in Salisbury, joining choirs from around the Diocese. Music in worship is important as it provides another dimension to the service; the choir provides this with their choice of settings for the Eucharist. Occasional members are Richard Beamish, Helen Beamish and Roxanna Shipgood - although Roxanna usually only helps at the festival. New members are always welcome and it would be really good to see some children; there used to be quite a few but unfortunately, has tailed off quite considerably.

The members of the choir are: Jean Philp (Choir Director), Graham Philp, Steve Comlay, Mark Comlay, David Beamish, Sylvia Beamish, Linda Tamplin, Libby Kerr and Jane Harris. They are supported in rehearsals and some elements of the service by Val Blundy on the flute; Val will also bolster the choir for weddings and the Salisbury Festival.
They meet for practice on Thursdays between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the church.
