SELECTED PHOTO'S
------------------------------------------------------
I make no apology for the first two pictures as they're of my favourite old warbird.....
Hurricane XII undergoing servicing
And another of same
No, this isn't a preserved Hovercraft, its the cockpit of a Blackburn Beverly. The rather worrying thing (for me, anyway) is
that I actually witnessed its last flight into Southend Airport more years ago than I care to remember.
Remember the Blenheim that belly-landed in 2003 ? Here's a shot of it in one of the hangars
And another
Unfortunately the Sun was in the wrong position for this snap of the 'Whispering Giant'
But the Britannia comes up quite nicely here
All the warbirds are undergoing servicing prior to the airshow season, this being the F4 Wildcat
And the Hawker Nimrod
Whilst opposite, restoration and rebuilding continues - this being the P51B
This is one of the two Firefly's recovered from a Swedish barn (a little out of focus, sorry)
The Lightning, my favourite old jet, with memories of Wattisham. Raw power.......
...
And another......
Had to include this Cub, I love the nose art !
Here's the Catalina that arrived a couple of weeks prior to this shot, albeit on one engine
And another.....

And finally, another.....
