Chase the Pisser
Thanks to Roger Giraud-Saunders for help in putting these rules together.Equipment - The standard pack of playing cards, back of an envelope for a score sheet and a writing stick.
Card Values -
Queen of Spades (The Pisser) 15pts
Ace of Hearts - 11 points
Hearts - Picture cards - 10 points
Hearts - Numbers cards- as per number on cardRules -
It is usual to play with 4-6 players.- Each player starts with zero points and continues in the game until the ceiling say 201 or 301 points is made.
Cards are dealt to the left and the deal rotates to the left on each succesive hand. As in whist the highest card (Ace High) of the lead suit wins the hand, there are no trumps. The player to left of dealer begins by leading a card in any suit, each person follows in turn with the same suit. If you cannot go in that suit you can throw away a card. The one who has laid the winning card collects any scoring cards(Hearts and pisser) and piles the remainder. He then deals the first card of the next trick. The object being to get rid of your big cards as soon as possible and dump the pisser on some unsuspecting player with a small card lead.- On the other hand you can 'Chase the Lady' 'Hunt the Pisser' and calls of 'chase it' are fairly common through the game, serving to warn everyone of the threat.
- Chasing the lady rule - Here instead of discarding the scoring cards on the unwary, you try to win them all with the pisser of course. For example this is not as easy as it sounds, as the pisser can easily be dumped on somebody else. However if you suceed you have the choice of reducing your score to zero or doubling everybody elses.
Score
At the end of the round the score is made. The scores are added up and written down using the writing stick on to the score sheet
when any player reachs or exceeds the agreed total, he no longer takes an active part in the game.
The others continue untill the last person to reach say 201 is the winner.
Marathon Games
It was quite common for 24 hour games to be played with people going on or off watch exchanging hands, it was also easy at pre-set or random times to change the game from Chase the Pisser to Noms and back again whilst keeping the same score sheet. Or To work in teams where two or more players would sit together but where only one in rotation, would play(without consultation) his hand at each turn.
Shit On Yer Oppo

8 is played the next player misses a turn.
