The Northamptonshire Schools County Association (NSCBA) organises Badminton Coaching and Match play for school children within the County. The Association is run entirely by volunteers and parents. There are several levels of activity to meet the needs of children at all levels of play. Newcomers to the sport are channelled into "feeder groups", those who improve are able to attend trials for selection into the county squads at U13 - U15 & U17 age groups. The best players then represent Northamptonshire in age group teams. The pyramid effect means that the association is able to involve a great number of children in an excellent sport. Over matches are played each season. Tournaments are arranged each year and attract a very good entry.
