Winter breaks

Cyprus is also great in winter, how about having a try at skiing on the Troodos mountains. There are flat areas to self learn on, tuition is available, chair lifts are present for the more adventurous and there is very reasonably priced equipment hire. Its mainly locals having fun not proffesionals. For those not into the Skis, winter walks with snow ball throwing are plentiful, its great trudging through the unbelievable snow to the heated cabin, for a warm meal or drink. Most of the Islands vineyards are open all year and the tasting is a must. A mountain drive to a vineyard followed by a village lunch is a great way to spend a winters day or days. Back at the coast the winters in Cyprus are renowned to be mild and can be suprisingly warm. The mountains are very close to the Villa and the highest being Troodos is approximatly 40miles away, an easy pleasant drive. It is note worthy that car hire is considerably cheaper in the winter months and it is recommended that during the snow ridden months a four wheel drive vehicle is used for mountain trips.

All prices include air conditioning/heating and are per week in sterling based on a 7 day week. additional days may be added pro rata

A non refundable deposit of 20% is required at time of booking plus a returnable breakages deposit of £200.

Guests will be met at Larnaca Airport, taken to the Apartment, receive two sets of keys and be given a tour of the accommodation, given instruction on appliances and be imparted with some local knowledge to get them started (local contact number, shops etc) Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and bottled water is provided free of charge. On the final day of the stay they will be met once again and taken back to the airport.

If a hire car is arranged at the airport, the "meet and greet" vehicle will still meet the party at the airport as above. The party can then follow to the apartment.

Airports     There are two airports on Cyprus One is at Larnaca a short distance from the Villa. The other is at Pafos which is approximately a two hour drive from Larnaca. If a flight is booked to or from this Airport guests will have to arrange transfer to Larnaca for the meet/greet.

Cleaning     A mid-term clean (two week let) can be arranged for £25 sterling. This includes: all living areas inc bathroom and toilet cleaned and mopped, bins emptied, bed linen changed, and towels replenished. However, some guests prefer to perform this themselves as a washing machine and all cleaning materials are provided.

Currency    The Cypriots use the Pound and cents, favourable rates are found on the island (there is a kiosk opposite Jimmys coffee shop near the indoor market in Larnaca. We have always been given a far better rate here than at home or anywhere on the Island and its commission free - great sandwiches and Coffee with a smile at Jimmys too!)

Driving     Car /motor cycle/cycle hire can be arranged.

Driving     Great news ! Cypriots drive on the left side of the road the same as the UK.

Electricity     All plugs are 240 volt 3 pin as in the UK.

Insurance      Holiday insurance is strongly recommended as it is not included.

Language     Cypriot Greek. Most Cypriots speak English fluently, but they do appreciate an attempt at few words of Cypriot (Greek) no matter how poor.

Occupancy    Must not exceed total number of guests on the booking form. Forfeiture of deposit and occupancy for whole party if breached.

Smoking     Sorry there is a strict no smoking policy within the Villa - but there is an ash tray provided for use outside.

Welcome Packs     Personalized large welcome packs are available (contact for more information) however complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and bottled water are already provided for that "We've arrived" brew. Cheers! So no matter the time you arrive you will be able to relax from the start.
