The commissioning procedure starts with an initial chat/meeting to enable me to obtain as much information regarding your requirements for the piece of furniture, sizes, specific uses, siting and budget.
After we have opened up a creative dialogue I will generate initial design drawings, thoughts and ideas, plus an idea of timescale and costs. Normally there is no charge for this stage unless it involves a large amount of travel e.g. to visit you or to source specific timber outwith my normal supplier.
Once we have agreed upon a design, costing and suitable timescale I ask for a 25% downpayment with the balance on delivery/pick up. For some larger projects I may ask for further stage payments as the project evolves.
