Running In

 

The club members continue to be inspired by their Tipton surroundings and spurred on by the invitation to the NGS 40thth celebrations, this ensuring  progress has continued to be rapid. Photos (PTO) show that large areas have sprouted grass and cuttings etc., while the village starts to develop its’ own character and the track-work begins look like the real thing.

 

The station is being worked on and now has the proper curve through the station area. Also the station buildings have now been replaced with some a little more GWR/GCR.

 

We shall endeavour to keep you abreast of construction, and provide articles on “How it was Done” where possible (if they will tell me). We also have articles on "Beginning in "N" scale", five  so far:-

      

 1. A Beginning,   2. Research,    3. Planning,     

4. Base-boards.   5. Thoughts on Legs.

 

Again, contact Ken if you want one. Also you don't have to be a, full time, member to keep abreast of things, just send Ken your name, address and a large SAE, or advise him of your email address, and he will send you the newsletter and any of the articles.

 

If your within traveling distance...why not join us glue, plaster & paint covered "enthusiasts" for slave labor, tea and cake.

 

So, if you can, come and join us,  please do tell us what we may do for you or help you with. If your starting from scratch and need basic help, tell us (we all started that way), Waterstock is now past that stage, but Water Orton is only part way through the track laying stage (still), and if we can’t show you we can tell you how it was done.

 

Those interested need not now be existing members of the National Society,  as a warm welcome will be given to all interested modellers both geniuses, beginners and their partners.
