Tassietay Flashdanca Merlin is owned by Kim Smith. Kim works Merlin in agility competitions and has obtained quite a few rosettes for clear rounds and two judges specials. He has been placed in several events and has also passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen dog scheme at both bronze and silver standards. He has also passed his Southern Counties Bearded Collie Club Primary working test.
Below is a list of Merlins activities in 2004 described by his loving Mum:
Since Merlin was ready to meet the world he has been taken to obedience classes, later we turned to agility classes, introducing him gradually. This proved a wonderful success for both him and me. He could be as vocal as he wanted and I could try to keep fit. He always wants to go and if only he could manage to stop barking and bouncing a little of the way round, I know we could knock off a few seconds.
Merlin is a good steady, reliable and happy dog and this year at our agility shows he has worked his four white socks off. He has had several clear rounds, and places in his team events and his own individual places, which are as follows for 2004:- In May at Supa Dogs Merlin had two places, 17th and 28th both in starters jumping on separate days. June was a busy month we traveled to Billingshurst were Merlin gained 13th place in Elementary Jumping, we also traveled to BATS were Merlin gained 21st place in Starters Agility and Watford were he gained 26th place in Starters Jumping.
In July we traveled to Norfolk were Merlin helped to gain 7th place in the team event and 26th place in Starters Agility. We also traveled to Trent Park were Merlin gained 12th place in Novice Graduate Agility (over the moon with this place)
August we traveled to Dog In Need gaining 20th place in Starters Agility and 12th place in Starters Agility at Surrey DTC. September proved to be a wonderful month. A two day event at Burnham 10th in pairs and 9th in Elementary Agility, 16th place in Starters Agility, 20th place in ABC Agility and 12th place in Elementary Jumping. October Merlin gained 13th place in Elementary Jumping at Bridgehouse. What a busy year we have both had!
