05/10/09 - NEWS UPDATE _ NEW EVENT !!!
Hi Folks,
After a Very successful National Championships at Hamsterley forest on Saturday , which was hosted by Jeff Crawford and his Crew from Cleveland and was appreciated by all the Riders , comes the Last MTB Event of the Season. It is hosted by Richard Whitley (Cheshire Fire & Rescue) and his happy band of supporters at the well known Venue, Llandegla Forest.

This is a first Class Event not to be missed, as the Circuit is good, mostly fast tracks with a little bit of technical stuff thrown in along with the occasional climb (along with the mud etc). The bonus of this event is you can take the girlfriend (but don't tell the wife) and family members who wish to have a ride in the Great event.
I have attached the entry form so you can enter before the day to help Richard with the catering etc.

By now you will be wanting to know, When is the event !! well it is on the 18th October with a start time of 1215hrs
and Directions will be sent out later this week.

For those keen to have a bash at cyclo cross don't forget the Last Event of the year in South Shields, Newcastle ,which is the,
National Emergency Services Cyclo-Cross Championships held on the 8th November. I will send out more info as I get it.!!
Yours in sport

10 & 25 Mile Time Trials.

10 mile Emergency Services Championship -Sat 13th June 2009 - in CTT Handbook as "Phoenic C.C.(Aintree)" - course D10/1 - first rider off 1400 hours - entry fee £7.00 - event organiser P.Tyas, 30 Haslemere Road, LIVERPOOL, L25 2SF Tel: 0151 487 0239. The organiser has extended the field to 150 riders to accommodate our "tagged" on Championship. He normally receives approximately 50 - 60 entries which leaves us with 90 - 100 on a "first come first served basis". Therefore, the emphasis is on Fire Service riders to get their entries in early to avoid disappointment.

National Fire Service & Police Championship 25 mile TT - Sun 14th June 2009 - course D25/3 - first rider off 0800 hours - entry fee £7.00 - event organiser D.Jackson, 74 Verwood Drive, West Derby, LIVERPOOL, L12 0QY Tel: 0151 222 6091 & 07730003080.

To qualify for the opportunity to win the coveted National Champs jersey riders must compete in BOTH events to be eligible. Also riders are requested to send self addressed envelopes with 1st class stamp for start sheet and 2nd class stamp for results sheet to save the organisers extra expense and as a small gesture of our appreciation for their hard work in running the events !!!

FINALLY and most importantly riders MUST include their
Fire Brigade name on the entry sheet or they may be included in the OPEN event and NOT the Emergency Services Championships. The onus is on the riders to include this along with sponsored club details if needed.

Yours in appreciation, Jeff Crawford.
