About the club

The club was started in 1990 and has met weekly ever since. it is run entirely by volunteers and all income is generated to promote Rock 'N' Roll and to deliver possibly the best Rock 'N' Roll value in the country to its members.

Our venue is Forde Hall Social Club. We do not have a resident DJ but prefer to guest top DJ's from both local and country-wide, guaranteeing a wide range of music. informal Jive instruction (beginners and improvers) is available on request - just ask at the door. Admission is £3 for members and £4 for visitors (reduced by £1 in both cases if you join Forde Hall Social Club) Membership costs £7.50 per annum and application forms are available at the club

We also run a program of band nights featuring top bands on the circuit. Band nights are the first Saturday of the month, except January. Admission is ticket only in advance. Tickets cost £7 for members, £8 non members, but note that members purchasing tickets on a record hop night at the club are charged £5.

Over the years wee have built a reputation for being one of the moist successful and well run clubs in the country. Our admission charges remain among the lowest, due entirely to being non-commercial and our policy of all surpluses being utilized to give best value to our members.
