Mary Frances Loughran
Mary
Frances trained with the City of Belfast School of Music and she spent many
years with the Ulster Youth Choir. As well as a love for classical singing,
she has a wealth of experience singing pop music with pop bands around Northern
Ireland.
Mary Frances joined The Ulster in 2004 for West Side Story, and played Prince Valiant in Sleeping Beauty later that year.
In 2005, Mary Frances was selected to join three other Irish sopranos to form Pzazz, combining classical voices with Latin rhythms and contemporary melodies.
She returned to The Ulster in 2006 to appear in Little Shop of Horrors, and played Princess Jasmine in our Christmas panto, Aladdin.
Mary Frances plays Consuela in West Side Story when we return to the Grand Opera House in October 2008.
