Gareth Maxwell

Gareth Maxwell

Gareth started performing in musicals in his youth with Lisnagarvey Operatic Society, and has done many shows since then with The Ulster and First Act.

During this time, he claims to have become an expert at the role of "large person who moves / carries things".

Although Gareth's voice has often been heard in shows and concerts, his first principal role in a show was playing The Voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, where he was delighted to sing his two favourite words...

"FEED ME!"

In 2004, he played Officer Krupke in West Side Story and the King in our Xmas panto later that year, Sleeping Beauty. In 2006, he combined his talent for playing "FB at the Back" with his deft tap-dancing skills while playing Joe, the Barman in Calamity Jane. Later that year, he won acclaim for his portrayal of Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors.
