  KNOCK OUT COMPETITION RULES 2009-2010 (SUMMARY)  

 1.      All players shall be within the prescribed age limits set by Council for each competition at midnight on 1st January prior to the season. A player normally becomes ineligible on leaving school. A player may play for two teams only with the consent of Council.

                   NI Senior District Cup         UNDER 15 on 1-1-2010

          All players must have been born ON or AFTER 1 JANUARY 1995.

 2.      All teams shall be under the direct and sole control of a teacher. A school team must be accompanied by a teacher of that school. 

 3.      Where two teams play in similar colours the away team must change. Goalkeepers must wear a distinctive colour. 

 4.      All matches shall be played under the Laws of the Game with the following exceptions:-

(a)     The type of ball used in the NI Senior District Cup shall be size 5 leather.

(b)     There shall be no strict application of the law as to the dimensions of the ground, but subject to the prior agreement of both teachers.

(c)        In all ties up to a maximum of three substitutes may be used chosen from a maximum of five named players.  The names of the substitutes must be given to the referee prior to the commencement of the match.  Substitutes not so named may not take part in the match.

(d)     The duration of each match shall be:-

                   NI Senior District Cup         40 minutes each way

          All matches when drawn will have periods of extra time (with GOLDEN GOAL) as follows:-

                   NI Senior District Cup         5 minutes each way

(a)     If the match is drawn after extra time penalty kicks will be taken to decide the winner.

            The Council may make such other modifications as are necessary. 

 5.      In the knock out rounds the away team is responsible for providing the referee who must be a teacher. 

 6.      All ties shall be played on a grass surface except with the prior agreement of both teachers. 

 7.      The result of each match is to be notified by the winning team to the Secondary Competition Convener within three days of the date specified for that round. 

 8.      The Secondary Competition Committee shall have the right to vary dates, if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances. 

 9.      A player dismissed from the field of play shall be automatically suspended from the next match in the NI Senior District Cup. The teacher in charge of the team should notify the Convener of the player dismissed. 

10.     The Secondary Competition Committee shall have power to eliminate teams failing to comply with any of these regulations. 

 

TOURNAMENT COMPETITION RULES 2009-2010 (SUMMARY)
