Small Schools Under 15 Cup COMPETITION RULES (SUMMARY) 2009-2010

  1.     All players shall be within the prescribed age limits set by Council for each competition at midnight on 1st July prior to the season. A player normally becomes ineligible on leaving school. A player may play for two schools only with the consent of Council.

          Small Schools U15 Cup                      OVER 13 and UNDER 15 on 1-7-09

          All players must have been BORN BETWEEN 1 JULY 1994 and 30 JUNE 1996 INCLUSIVE.

          The enrolment must be UNDER 40 BOYS in YEAR 11.

  2.     All teams shall be under the direct and sole control of a teacher. A school team must be accompanied by a teacher of that school.

  3.     Where two teams play in similar colours the away team must change. Goalkeepers must wear a distinctive colour.

  4.     All matches shall be played under the Laws of the Game with the following exceptions:-

(a)     The type of ball used in the Intermediate Cup shall be size 5 leather.

(b)     There shall be no strict application of the law as to the dimensions of the ground, but subject to the prior agreement of both teachers.

(c)     In all ties a maximum of five substitutes may be used chosen from a maximum of five named players.  The names of the substitutes must be given to the referee prior to the commencement of the match.  Substitutes not so named may not take part in the match.

(d)     The duration of each match shall be:-

          Small Schools U15 Cup          40 minutes each way

          All matches when drawn will have periods of extra time as follows:-

          Small Schools U15 Cup          5 minutes each way

(a)          When the first match of any tie is drawn a replay must be played within one week of the date specified for that round.

(b)          If the replay is drawn after extra time penalty kicks will be taken to decide the winner.

          The Council may make such other modifications as are necessary.

  5.     In rounds prior to the semi final the away team is responsible for providing the referee who must be a teacher.

  6.     All ties shall be played on a grass or 3G astroturf surface except with the prior agreement of both teachers.

  7.     The result of each match is to be notified by the winning team, or both teams in a drawn game, to the Intermediate Cup Organiser within three days of the date specified for that round.

  8.     The Secondary Competition Committee shall have the right to vary dates, if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances.

  9.     A player dismissed from the field of play shall be automatically suspended from the next match in the Small Schools U15 Cup. The teacher in charge of the team should notify the Organiser of the player dismissed.

 10.    The Secondary Competition Committee shall have power to eliminate teams failing to comply with any of these regulations.
