Kick Off 4.30pm

The home team went in front after 16 minutes when Lassi Niemi won the ball inside his own half and ran 50 yards before unleashing a shot from 30 yards which flew into the roof of the net.

Finland continued to make the better chances with Gullit Zolameso shooting narrowly wide while Carter Dawson got down well to save a shot from Jaakko Hietikko low to his left.

Northern Ireland started the second half in determined mood and in the first minute Joshua Barton made a great run down the right but his low cross just evaded Paul McElroy.  After 53 minutes Shane Meehan missed a great opportunity when he pushed past two defenders but shot straight at the keeper.

Substitute Paul George soon caused problems for the Finns but twice the winger shot wide after outpacing the home defence.

In the closing stages the visitors laid siege to the Finnish goal with Luke Conlan going close with a header while David Morgan shot wide from 12 yards.
