The Northern Ireland Schools Under 18 team produced their best display of the season to defeat New Zealand 6-1 at Wilgar Park.
The home team made a strong start and went ahead after 20 minutes when Scott McCullough won the ball with a great tackle and slid a perfect pass through for Shane Jennings to score.
Two minutes later Matthew Harkin doubled the lead when he netted from a pass by Micheal Smith.
On the half hour Smith went close with a neat flick which just went past the post. The visitors fought back and reduced the leeway after 36 minutes when Josh Morrison took advantage of a poor clearance to net with a strong shot.
Nine minutes after the restart the lively Harkin grabbed his second goal when he ran onto a Darren Coyle pass and scored with a well placed shot.
The Kiwis should have pulled a goal back but Ryan Cain fired over from close range.
In the final minute Marcus Kane netted from a Robbie Hume corner and the Model midfielder completed his hat trick by scoring from another corner by Darren Coyle.
