Lesser Yellowlegs
I was really pleased to start the new year with a bird I hadn’t photographed before. A Lesser Yellowlegs, from North America, had taken up residence at Thornham on the north Norfolk coast, which was great as I’m always about this area in winter. The bird showed really well and many photographers were treated to some great views and good weather for a change. I always wonder if these vagrants ever get back to where they belong? A good start to the new year.
