                               Medium Priority Moths -
                  Notable species occurring in the region

At present these include all Red Data Book (RDB) species and all nationally notable
(Na or Nb) species which are currently known to occur in the region. Current status
is taken from Waring, in prep (also see Waring, 1994). It is anticipated that the status
of many of these species may change in the next few years as a result of increasing
recording levels. For this reason, the status of these medium priority moths will be
reviewed in five years time, when there may be sufficient data available to write an
action plan for each species. The counties in which these species have recently been
recorded are given below.
