The Broadhead Bowl

This is a pairs competition held annually after the AGM.
Pairs are mixed and the event is contested by club members of all
levels of experience and .....

The Crantock Bowl

This is a Multiple Teams competition played in two sessions.
The movement resembles a Mitchell. One pair from each team remains seated,
the other pair moves from table to table playing rounds against each team.
A victory point scale is used to compare scores, the winning team having the highest total

The Jack Hammond Trophy

The "JH " is a handicap event run for thirteen Tuesdays in the summer.
The best six scores count towards the trophy.
However to win the event at least two partners must be used in the qualifying scores.
Each player is given a handicap based on ability and previous year's score. A percentage is added to each players score based on each partners handicap.
For example if one player has a handicap of +8, and partners handicap is -4, then the pairs handicap is (+8-4)/2 = 2.
This means that 2% is addd to each players score.
There are prizes.

The Journal Cup

This cup is awarded annually to the County Pairs Champions.
A Number of qualifying heats are held throughout Nottinghamshire County.
Players may compete in only one of these.
Three pairs will be invited to represent Notts in the Corwen Trophy Competition.

The Poyser Cup and Max Radford Bowl


These are like-pair competitions,currently being run over an 12-week period on Monday evenings. January to March
The best 4 results being used to calculate the winners.

Ladies compete for the Poyser cup and Men for the Max Radford Bowl.
