A New Forest Calendar

A New Forest Calendar and other poems by Sylvia Oldroyd

Sylvia Oldroyd, a prize-winning poet who lives on the Waterside in Hampshire, has produced an impressive volume of thirty poems. The first half of the book contains a poem for each month of the year - the New Forest Calendar of the title - and the second half, eighteen more poems centred in the Forest and Waterside areas. January frost on Beaulieu Heath, Long Pond languishing in the heat of summer and autumn storm clouds over Crockford Clump (to name but a few) are all wonderfully evoked by Sylvia's talented pen. Other titles include Hythe Ferry, Setley Pond, Dibden Bay and Broomhill Copse.
