Peter Roberts undertakes commissions as either a package or at hourly rates. He is the author of several local books and writes regularly for the New Forest Magazine. He has been researching local and family history for 15 years. During that time he has built up unique databases which provide useful references to people and places throughout the New Forest. Background information on the villages and their economy within the Forest provides an important part of understanding the lives of our forebears. Peter is in a strong position to be able to understand the part your ancestors or inhabitants of your house played in the life of their village and the New Forest.
Our base is within a short drive of major libraries and record offices in Lyndhurst, Southampton and Winchester. Access is regularly made to the Record Offices of Wiltshire and Dorset as well as Hampshire. The Public Record Office (NRA) provides important Forest records.
We often ask customers to try us for 3 or 4 hours work before committing to a longer research period. Please contact us for more information. See under About us for a 'CV'.
