The White Hart Hamstead Marshall (3.5m)

The White Hart is a pub cum restaurant that serves bar meals that are a cut above most country pubs, and while the restaurant can be quite expensive, the bar meals are good value. Not known to serve sandwiches. It serves decent draught beer, often including Youngs.

From The White Hart, go towards Newbury, and in 400yds turn R up a footpath uphill through fields. On reaching a lane, turn R and follow it through Holtwood and downhill for 500yds more where take a footpath R that comes out in 500 yds onto a main road. Go R for 400yds and turn R at the T junction towards Holtwood. In 150yds, take a footpath L uphill with a wood on the R until you meet a lane to Waterman's Farm. Here turn 90 degrees R and follow the path through woods and downhill across fields to Plumb's Farm, which is opposite the pub.
