The Bull Stanford Dingley (3.6m)
Go further up the lane from the pub and take the first stile on the L to a field
path which goes fairly near the River Pang. Go R on another path at a T junction, then L to follow even closer to the river.
Where this meets a further path at a T, go R and follow the path over a metalled lane and up the side of the drive to
Rushden's Farm. Skirt the farm and take the path forward up the side of and then into the woods. Keep going in the same
direction till you come out on a lane by The Pot Kiln. Turn R then R again into a farm drive, and L in 300yds
to pass through a Christmas tree plantation and then out into fields. Bear R to follow the edge of the woods
on a sometimes muddy track that comes out in 1200yds at Pangfield Farm. Turn L through fields, where the path goes R to meet a metalled lane
, where turn L then R on another FP that comes out at Stanford Dingley church, near the pub.

About twelve miles from Newbury. Take the A4 to Thatcham and turn L for Upper Bucklebury, then follow
the road on for 4 miles to Chapel Row, where L at the triangle then first R SP Stanford Dingley. After passing
The Boot, turn L at the T junction for the Bull.
The pub has been smartened up and enlarged, but you can still play
'Ringing the Bull'. Beer and snacks are very good, as are the meals, with competition from
The Boot round the corner.
You can start and finish this walk at The Boot or The Pot Kiln of course.
