The Falmouth Arms, Woolhampton (3.6m)

(No-usable-website) About 10 miles from Newbury on the A4 towards Reading.
A fairly cheap and cheerful establishment on the main road, popular with football fans. One of the few pubs where you can get a pork pie on a plate! Mild beer is usually on. The car parking is limited, but you can use the public car park behind The Row Barge.

Cross the road and take the road opposite The Angel over the railway and canal to The Row Barge
and take the canal towpath to the R. Follow this for a mile and a half (alternating between the two banks) until you reach a crossing road bridge. Go over this and along to the A4 by The Coach and Horses. Go L then R up the lane to Midgham Church, from which there are fine views. Just after the church, take a FP R into Midgham Park. In about 1000yds, this comes out onto a metalled road. Turn R here and walk down the road to the pub.
