WHIST DRIVE.

Final arrangements were made for the Whist on November 20th

Prize as follows.

Top of the Room –Turkey. To be purchased by the committee from Mr F Richards.

1st. Gent. Chicken to be purchased from Mrs L Saunders.

2nd. Gent. Sherry to be purchased.

3rd. Gent. Tin of Biscuit given by Mrs A Saunders.

1st. Ladies. Chicken given by Mr and Mrs G Bibby.

2nd Ladies. Sherry given by Mr J Evans.

3rd Ladies. Beef given by J Harris. Beef given by Mr J Harris.

Mr Coopey has accepted the proposal to act as MC on the evening of the Whist.

The Christmas raffle will be drawn at the whist drive.

Prizes as follows

1st Turkey given by Mr F Richards

2nd ½ bottle of whisky given by Mr D Hurley.

3rd Basket of fruit given by Mrs L Saunders.

4th 50 cigarettes given by Mr D Williams.

5th Box of chocolates.

6th Tin of biscuits.

Plus various other prizes.

Mrs R Lloyd, Mrs C Roberts and Miss J Cavill will also give prizes

All raffle tickets that are sold to be returned on Nov 13th. A meeting will be held to collect the tickets and also to fold the counterfoils.

Mrs A Saunders asked if the PTA formed at the school could borrow, cups, teapot, and boiler on 2nd Wednesday of each month if the Hall does not require them. Request granted.

Mr F Banfield asked for a mixer for two microphones for the ladies concert. It would cost about £3 to £4. This was rejected.

Miss J Cavill on behalf of the ladies committee asked for special care with their hired costumes or there would be quote ' Hell to play', unquote. She also asked about two missing items but these were later found by Mrs L Saunders.

Sec by Mr D Hurley that firelighters be purchased to assist Mrs L Saunders with easy fire lighting.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY.

Prop by D Hurley.

Sec by F Banfield. That the party be held before Christmas on Saturday Dec 20th.

An amendment proposed by Mr Bibby, Sec by Miss J Cavill that the party be after Christmas on Saturday January 3rd 1970.

The amendment was carried.

The ladies committee will help with the children’s party.
