PREFABS.
Mr F Richards will be notified when the prefabs are ready for collection by members of the committee.
TABLES.
Mr F Banfield was unable to purchase tables mentioned in the last meeting as the company to whom they belonged decided to keep them.
OAP DINNER & CONCERT.
Mr F Banfield inquired into the cost of ready pealed potatoes. They are 14/- for 28lbs.
Mrs L Saunders decided to clean own potatoes. Entertainment for the concert has been arranged by Mr D Williams it will include sketches and an electric organ which has to be collected from Rogerstone. Mr J Evans has agreed to transport the organ.
Mr A Saunders to make inquiries at the school about children giving their Christmas concert at the OAP concert.
Mr D Williams has invited some of the OAP to dinner .He will continue with the other invitations.
Gifts of chocolates or cigarettes are to be made to OAP who will be unable to attend due to illness. This was agreed upon by all those present.
Mr D Williams will attend to the door on night of the concert.
ANNUAL DINNER
100 tickets have been obtained. Tickets will cost 12/6 each. Children at half-price.
Mr W Lloyd was approached by Mr D Williams about entertainment for Annual Dinner but Mr Lloyd will be unable to obtain artist. Mr D Hurley will make inquiries about entertainment through an agency £30 being the limit to pay for the artists.
TREASURER

Sec by J Evans. That Mr D Williams becomes the Treasurer of the committee. Mr D Williams resigned as vice-chairman and accepted the post of Treasurer.
Mr D Williams has received the committee’s account book from Mrs a Samuel and is going through them to make sure all the bills and licences are fully paid.
A letter to be sent to Mr L Davies thanking him for the Boxing Day shoot.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 4th February to discuss final arrangements for OAP dinner and to erect tables.

PREFABS
The parish council will be notified as to when the prefabs will be ready for collection. Probably they will be left on the site in Rogerstone until the light evenings. It was suggested by F Banfield that measurements be taken of foundations so that our own ground can be prepared.
OAP DINNER
The number expected to attend the dinner is 30. Dinner to start at 6.30pm,concert at 8 0’clock. Mr L Collier (Headmaster Henllys School) has given his consent for the schoolchildren to perform.
F Banfield, D Williams, and J Harris will collect the OAP in their cars.
J Evans and D Hurley will go to Machen for the electric organ.
Refreshments will be provided for the performers after the concert.
Mrs L Saunders will obtain goods from W Lloyd. The ladies of the committee will meet at 2.0pm on Feb 5th.
ANNUAL DINNER.
Any unsold tickets are to be returned on Monday 17th February when a special meeting will be held at 7.30pm to finalise the Annual Dinner arrangements.
Entertainment for the dinner is being booked through an agency by D Hurley. The agency has stated that they will book individual artists to make a party and they will not let us down.
OTHER BUSINESS.
Mrs L Saunders has collected during bingo sessions, through selling teas and holding raffles, a large amount of money. She requests that the money be used to purchase our own crockery, cutlery, and cloths. This was put forward as a proposal by D Williams and Second by F Banfield. Inquiries to be made at various shops on prizes of 7 doz. sets.

Sec by D Hurley . That Mr D Williams be elected as a Trustee to replace the late Mr A Samuel.
A modern piano can be obtained for £4. J Evans and J Harris to purchase on behalf of the committee.
30/- has been received from Mrs S Samuel for loan of the Hall for the Unionist. Receipt given.
A receipt was received from Mrs L Saunders for payments of chickens.
The annual meeting is to be held on Wednesday March 5th 1969.
