Meeting at the Hall 26th June 69

Mr J Harris took the chair.
At Cwmbran carnival a profit of £11.2. 3d was made. We may have to pay £5 to the Cwmbran organisers. Of the prizes obtained for the stalls the action men and dolls clothes are to be returned.
Own Carnival. - Mon Farmers are unable to lend a lorry for the Queen. Corona Soft Drinks will lend a lorry if a driver is available. If this is unavailable then Edgar Jones and Skyrme will be approached.
So far two Tug O War teams are available. Mr O Owen, Oakdale to be approached to be judge for the Tug O War.
Girlings to be approached for the loan of the rope.
Owing to illness Mrs O Bowker will be unable to open the Fete so Councillor Oliver James will open the Fete.
Judges for Fancy Dress:- councillor Mrs Oliver James, Mrs L Collier.
Prizes for floats:- 1st - £2. 2nd -£1. 3rd - 10/-
Walking classes Adults:- 1st -£1. 2nd - 10/- 3rd - 5/-.
Children under 5 1st-10/-. 2nd - 5/-. 3rd - 2/6d
Children aged 5 - 10 . 1st - 10/-. 2nd - 5/-. 3rd - 2/6d
Children aged 10 -15. 1st - 10/-. 2nd - 5/-. 3rd - 2/6d
The ladies entertainers will have two stalls at the Fete.
Mr D Hurley will approached Mr R Willis and Miss L Lewis to see if they can give a demonstration with their horses.
Refreshments for the day to be arranged by Mrs L Saunders.

Mr M Robbins has arranged the band for the dance.
Mr F Banfield has purchased crepe paper to decorate the Queen's lorry.
A request was also made at this meeting for a loan of cups and saucers and teapots for the school on Monday June 30th. Request granted.
Request made by both the top of Henllys & the bottom for hire of the Hall for the afternoon of the Investiture parties if raining. Request granted.
The Sheepdog Society request hire of hall on Aug 1st and the china on Aug 5th.Request granted.
