1 Mr J Evans has offered to give a piece of canvas to make a Fete poster and to erect it near the road.

2 The posters for the Fete will be left in the hands of Mr D Williams, who will print the posters, himself. And will also print smaller ones to go in the windows of cars.

3 Prop by Mr F Banfield

Sec by Mr D Williams. That Mr W Lloyd takes Mr D Williams and Mrs R Lloyd, to Cardiff Warehouse to get prizes for the sports.

4 It was decided that £20 will be spent on prizes for the Fete.

Sec by Mr H Burton. That the prizes for the Fancy Dress Competition should be as follows.

Ages up to 7yrs 1st 7/6 2nd 5/- 3rd 2/6

Ages 7 to 15yrs old . 1st £1 2nd 12/6 3rd 5/-

Mr Burton to see Mrs J Lewis regarding the W I and Mrs Percy Jones.

Space for Car Park. Mr F Richards to see Mr Lewis Gelli.

Mr J Harris has ordered timber for stalls, and Mr D Williams informed the committee that he would try and get some of the timber, which was left in the old Civil Service club in Bettws.

It was decided that the progress of all stalls should be discussed at every Fete meeting, and also the purchase of sport prizes.

10 Pop & Crisp - Mrs W Harris, Mrs Banfield.

11 Treasure Hunt. - Mrs W Langdon.

12 Mystery - Mrs Shaw.

The purchase of crisp will be made by Mr H Burton.

Sec by Mr D Williams. That the charge of Pony Rides should be 6d.

The Fancy Dress dance. It was discussed and decided that the dance must be over by 11.45pm.The entrance to the dance will be 4/-.This was Prop by Mr J Harris and Sec by Mr J Humphries.

Fancy dress to the dance will be optional and the prizes for the best fancy dress will be decided at a later date, also the prize of the ankle competition which will be judged by Mr F Richards.

The application for licence will be made by Mr H Burton.

Minutes of the Meeting held at the Hall 31st May 1967

It was decided that on 7th June 1967 some of the committee would go to the Fete field to see where the stalls were going to be erected.

Insurance for the day of the Fete would left to Mr H Burton.

The advertising for the Fete will be put in the Advertiser. Mr Williams said that it would cost 12/6 an inch.

Also discussed at this meeting. Bowling for a pig. Enquiries are to be made to see if anyone would be willing to give a pig for a prize.

Minutes of the meeting held at the Hall 16th June 1967

It was decided that the advertisment for the Fete would be put in the advertiser and the South Wales Argus.A large advert would go to the Adevertiser and a small one to the Argus under personal. the advert for the Advertiser was headed as follows;-

"Henllys Fete Saturday June 24th 1967 at 2.opm. Fancy Dress competitions.Open many interesting stalls. Example , Bowling for a live pig. Pony rides.Bingo.Grand gymnastic display by the Malpas Gymnastic club.Followed in the evening by a Fancy Dress Dance in the Henllys Village Hall. Admission to the Fete .Adults 1/-.Children & O A P 6d."

The Argus advert was as follows.

"Grand Fete at Henllys at 2.0pm 24 June 1967"
