Minutes of the meeting held at the Hall 5th June 1967.

The meeting opened with a discussion on a band for the dance to be held on August Monday 28th. This was left in the hands of Mr W Lloyd. It was also decided to have a dinner dance later on, suggested September. This dance will be discussed at a later date.

Prop by Mr A Samuel

Sec by Mr F Banfield. That people on the committee would be given 3 monthly meetings in which to attend. If these meetings were not attended they would not be regarded as members of the Henllys Village Hall committee. Mr Banfield also remarked on the ladies toilet at the hall and said that a petition was going around the Parish to have something done about them. The committee then said that nothing could be done just yet.

Donation to the Malpas Gymnastic Club.

This would be left to a later meeting.

A small insurance to cover the children against accidents in the school playing field. this was left to Mr H. Burton.

Dates for the Henllys children's sports.

The committee suggested Monday August 28th 1967.at 2.30pm. Also to see Mr Williams about posters.

Sec by Mr H Burton that 7/6 an hour to be charged for the letting of the hall plus caretaker's fee.

Sec by Mr F Banfield. That the secretary Mrs J Lewis who had put in an application for the Hall to be allowed to have it at reduced rates.

Mr W Lloyd objected to this then Mr H Burton who proposed this minute withdrew it. Mr Banfield said he would like to resign as Tote Secretary. This would be discussed at the next meeting.

Mr F Banfield then remarked that he would like to have a go at changing the lighting in the hall. The committee said he could do so but just do a few to see what they'd think.

Applications for the Hall.

Henllys Sheepdog Society

Mrs J Lewis 21st birthday party.

Preliminary applications were put in by Mr Banfield.

These applications were all passed.

Chairman Mr F W Richards.

The meeting opened with a discussion on which part of the village would be entered in the best-kept village competition. It was decided that the part entered would be from the top of New Row to Belle View. Mr Humphries would be asked to go around with the judges on the day. Failing Mr Humphries , Mr F Richards has offered to go.

Sec by Mrs R Lloyd that Mrs J Lewis be assistant Secretary on the Henllys Village hall committee.

There was a grant of £40 given to the youth club for recreational equipment which Mr D Williams has in his charge.

Sec by Mr D Williams. That Mrs Samuel would accept the post as caretaker for hall.

A retainer of 10/- would be paid each week to the caretaker and 2/6 extra per each meeting. Dances Whist drives etc, would be 7/6 extra for the caretaker
