Supplementary Scores 2007

 

CONGU has decided to continue with Supplementary Scores during 2007. It is likely that thereafter they will become a permanent part of the Unified Handicapping System.

 

 A maximum of 10 Supplementary Scores may be returned each handicap year

i.e. 1st February – 31st January.

 

 Supplementary Scores are medal or stableford scores which may be returned at any clubs at which a player is a member, subject to the above limit.

 

 Supplementary Scores are available to players who have returned fewer than seven

cards in Qualifying Competitions (including Supplementary Scores) in the period 1st

February 2006 – 31st January 2007.

 

A maximum of one card per week may be returned (a week commences on a  Monday)

 

The card must be signed by the playing partner and comply with the Rules of Golf.

 

Supplementary Scores are available to all players in Categories 2, 3, 4 [and 5].

 

Players must register their intention to take out a Supplementary Score in the Pro Shop before going out to play.

 

Play must be over a Measured Course and no CSS to be calculated. Changes of handicap to be against the SSS.

 

Supplementary Scores are for increase as well as reduction of handicap.

 

In the case of medal cards Clause 19.8 adjustments (maximum net double bogey on any hole) are applicable.

 

Handicap Committees shall record Supplementary Scores as away scores.
