24/03/04: MADE IN SHEFFIELD DVD LAUNCH PARTY |

On Tuesday 27th April, "Nuromantic" will be hosting the Northern launch party for the DVD release of "Made In Sheffield". The film, as you will probably know, is a documentary that charts the evolution of Sheffield's music scene between 1977 and 1982 and includes exclusive footage of The Human League, Cabaret Voltaire, ABC, Heaven 17, and others. |

26/05/04: SUMMER BREAK....AND TIME TO MOVE |

Nuromantic takes its Summer break from this month, but will return in September. And the return shall be at a new (as yet unconfirmed) home. You probably now know that the club still known as “The Casbah” has drastically changed its policy on live music. This leaves Nuromantic with no alternative but to seek a new home. It was a good 18 months. But, as usual, all good things must come to an end. Never mind. That was then...... |

The Sheffield event will see special guest bands including Kings Have Long Arms and Starbase 109, performing live, plus very special guest DJs (including Steve Singleton (ABC), Nigel Humberstone (In The Nursery), and others tbc. All this, plus the usual Nuromantic soundtrack, and even a Sheffield synthpop star or three.... |

First things first - The Nuromantic club nights will NOT be returning this month. Whether they return at all is another story for another day. In the meantime though, things are still happening, including considerable changes planned for the Nuromantic website. More details will follow, so stay posted for news on Ultra Rare synthpop mp3s, interviews, links portals, and all things electronica. All good stuff. |
