The Sanctuary has been up and running for a few months now and rather than me telling you just how good it is, read what Miles Ryan has to say about his experience:
When I first visited The Sanctuary on a chilly Wednesday evening, I felt very unsure of what to expect I had visions of a meditating group with an instructor telling us to inhale and exhale. So I was pleasantly surprised to find the serene atmosphere of the candlelit church. Whilst relaxing music is softly played you are encouraged to use the time and space to relax and lose yourself in peaceful meditation. I initially felt self conscious about quietly standing, sitting or lying down in silence, but that feeling soon vanished as I began to relax and immerse myself in the experience. After a stressful day at university this time of tranquillity gave me time to ponder upon my thoughts and chill out away from the noise, demands and busy-ness of London. Having no time limit helped too as I felt I could casually arrive and leave as I wanted. As I left I felt relaxed, refreshed and revived I would encourage anyone who feels they need a bit of time to themselves to give “The Sanctuary” a try.
