"I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, especially birds and animals. Portraiture and figure drawing came later. A spell in the regular army introduced me to the middle and far east and a year as an assistant warden in Uganda National Parks introduced me to the wildlife of Africa. After that I trained as a graphic designer at Birmingham College of Art where I learnt to work in many different media. I am a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists and have joined several Artists for Nature Foundation expeditions. As well as my free drawing, painting, printmaking and collage work, I have also made detailed drawings of buildings, trains and steam launches."
