Essendon - Good Victory

Turned up at Essendon to a rather dry outfield with a 'hilly' track'.  Paul Smith lost the toss and was asked to bat.

John Herbert and Rob Shafe opened, with John being out for a silly 12 (said he should have filled his boots).

Paul Smith then joined Rob and started to score runs.  Rob was going through a 'dodgy' patch with Paul easily out scoring him.  With Rob on about 35, Paul called for a quick single and ran himself out.

Once joined by Ed, Rob seemed to find his feet again and quickly went past his 50, with Ed scoring shot for shot with him.

Having passed 250-1 (!!!), Rob got himself onto 99 again and everyone was wondering if he would make it.  Ed got a quick single to give him the strike and he did it.  Ed then got his 50 and Paul declared with them having only bowled 32 overs.

They opened their batting and it soon became apparent that they were not going to get our score, so Paul gave the people that did not get a bat the chance to bowl.

Basically we got them all out with 3 overs to spare
