Design

"good design is essential in creating a successful garden''

We believe in a sympathetic approach to landscape design. A garden should sit comfortably with it's surroundings and unite successfully with the landscape beyond.

Your garden is most probably the largest room in your home. The uniting of house and garden forms the fundamental part of our design ethos and by making the most of views from windows and doors out to the garden we endeavour to connect ''out'' with ''in''.

All our gardens have a strong sense of place and carefully balance aesthetics and practicality. Influence is drawn from a wide range of sources including natural and man made landscapes.

The existing architechure also bears heavily on our design work, with every attempt made to match hard landscaping materials and the style of planting to existing buildings and structures.

Last but by no means least, we believe your new garden should reflect the life of you and your family.

Design Tools

The software program AutoCAD includes a full set of basic solid modelling and 3D tools, and can give a preview of how the finished design will look.

The above images show the Autocad rendering on the left and the finished deck on the right. The site measures just 10 metres x 10 metres and incorporates a low maintenance sub-tropical planting scheme with a contemporary hardwood deck.

The 3D CAD drawing on the right shows how we proposed to transform this converted Oast House in rural Kent. (The results can be viewed in the portfolio section.)
