Onnward Venture Scout Unit
Conservation Bridge Building - 7th July 2003

Where's the water?

today we traveled to monkwood, where we were told we were going to make a bridge, naturally we took our wellygoogles and old clothes expecting to get wet (as bridges tend to go over water) But after arriving and carrying two heavy old railway sleepers, which ashley told us had nasty things in/on? to the place we were to build our bridge we discovered it was drier than a jacobs cracker!! but it wasn't all bad as we also got to cut down some trees and shrubs. big thankyou to the man who let us do it.

Ps we also got to see the rarest butterfly in the world!!! ish
