Getting Married at Oxon
The lower age limit for marriage in the UK is 16 and those under 18 need the permission of their parents.
Either you or your partner has to live in the parish of Shelton and Oxon or have joined the Electoral Roll (list of Church members). To join the Roll you have to show your commitment to the church by worshipping with us regularly (once a month) for six months and then you can have your names added to the roll. Ask our Wedding Co-ordinator or Vicar about this.
The marriage of divorced people is possible at Christ Church. All applications for marriage after divorce are considered sympathetically. Please contact the Vicar who will arrange to see you both to discuss this.
Weddings take place at Oxon Church on any day of the week. The church can accommodate up to 150 people. The Vicar is happy discuss any plans you have - why not attend one of the Sunday Services and pick up a Wedding Brochure.
