The Site
The site is located at a place called Gregennen Lakes, close to the village of Arthog, near Barmouth within Snowdonia National Park, Wales.  The site enjoys splendid views both up and down the valley with the dark peaks of Cadair Idris to the South West and the Barmouth Estuary to the North West.  The site and environs contain many rare and endangered species of plants, insects and animals.  The site is also important for its geological nature, as such the immediate area is currently used as an area for study by local school children.  The site also has many standing stones and ancient cairn burial sites close by
