Sue created Parkheath Stud in 1995. The whole family are Paint Horse enthusiasts.

We were lucky with our first attempt to breed a Paint. In May 1995 we bred our TB Mare to an Imported American Paint Stallion; Sonny Steele. The result was a Sorrell Overo Mare who we named TAOME, short for The Apple Of My Eye.

Since then we have gone from strenght to strength. We have continued to improve our stock through a combination of buying and breeding our own.

We currently have 12 Paints, 11 of whom are Pure-breds!

Our Champion Stallion, "Whata Smoke" who we imported from Sweden having achived all the major Paint accolades in the UK has been sold and exported back to new owners in Sweden.

As well as starting the Stud we have brought together now over 90 Paint Enthusiasts in the UK and Founded the UK Paint Horse Association (UK PHA).

In Novemeber 2001 The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) granted the UK PHA their Charter and this is now their formal Club in the UK.
