 " I will lead you by still waters, I will restore you." (Psalm 23)'Pathways to God' is led by Mrs Chris King. WHAT ARE WE? We are a team organising events about prayer and providing space for people to deepen their prayer life. These take place in Ayrshire: in Troon, Dundonald and Kilwinning. WHO ARE WE? Chris is a Deaconess with the Church of Scotland who has been helping people deepen their relationship with God in many ways for the last twenty years. She was one of the first to work ecumenically on the West Coast of Scotland. Chris is the author of a number of books on spirituality, drawing on all the rich strands of our Christian heritage. She
has, for many years, worked
along side Fr Stephen Motroni
at Smithstone House of Prayer.
PATHWAY TO PRAYER The team has been organising this ecumenical annual day about Prayer for over twenty years and welcoming as leaders bishops and moderators of the Catholic, Episcopal and Church of Scotland. RETREATS Come and enjoy our quiet spaces and labyrinth for day and residential retreats. We offer overnight (from Friday to Saturday) retreats called Sacred Spaces, midweek silent retreats and midweek Relaxing Breaks for those who need to be loved and cared for - with a little helping hand for those with physical needs. Individual retreats can be arranged. SPIRITUAL HERITAGE Explore the riches of our heritage from Celtic to Ignatian meeting monthly over seven months.
SHORT COURSES Throughout the year we run Bible and Spiritual Growth courses over three afternoons or evenings. We also offer the first experiential course exploring seven of the main Christian Spiritualities. SPIRITUAL DIRECTION / LISTENING EAR Need someone to talk to? or want the discipline of spiritual director? Chris and Stephen are both avilable on request. Come and draw closer to God |
