BUYING A PARK HOME
A New Home will vary in price depending on it’s size a specification. Prices, for a single home, will start at around £75,000.00. We include in this cost, the home and manufacturers’ contents, delivery & siting. (Manufacturers standard contents usually include carpets, curtains, lounge and dining furniture, beds and fitted bedroom furniture, electric oven and gas hob. Please see individual brochures for exact fittings.) We also include paving and steps, a garden shed and leave the garden ready for planting. Before deciding your home’s final layout and colour schemes we will take you to visit the manufacturer to see a home being built. This is an informative day and will give you a real look into park homes and their manufacture. New homes, supplied by us, enjoy the benefit of the 10 year gold shield warranty.
A previously occupied home is sold by the owner of the home. We, as park owners, cannot guarantee the age or condition of the home nor any statements made by the previous owners. Specialist Surveyors are recommended regardless of age or apparent condition to protect your investment.
Whether buying a pre-owned or a new home we always spend as much time as you require going through the agreement under the Mobile Homes Act 1983. Before you commit yourself to the purchase of a previously occupied home, arrangements must be made for you to be interviewed by us which will ensure that you fully understand and accept the responsibilities of owning and living on a residential park. i.e. Gardens to be kept tidy.
Whilst the above is almost certainly not a complete picture, we hope that it gives you some important information which is of some use. We would also strongly recommend that you obtain copies of the four Government Fact Sheets available free of charge from any Council Offices
