Built shortly after WW2 by Norris King who ran the Town Ing Mills next door, Cliffe Manor was purchased by Paul in 1981.
Since then there have been many changes and today the 9 acres Manor Estate has a great deal to offer. Nowadays, this substantial family home is much too big for just 1 person, and therefore parts of my home is offered to suitable house-sharers. See www.calderlets.co.uk
The 'View' is a comfortable, en-suite apartment (Penthouse Suite) with sitting area and kitchenette including superb views, off-road parking and much more. Accessed by outside spiral staircase; see note.
The 'Mews' is a self contained granny flat and offers a larger living space with 1 main bedroom and a second or a dining room or office.
The 'Lodge' provides a luxurious 2 bed living space, conservatory and garden view.
On Town Ing Field Stainland Dog Services offers dog walking, doggy day care and other dog services.
Cliffe Meadows Farm, offers Market Gardeners 'strips' to grow Vegetables, Herbs, Spices & Fruits for sale or Home Produce.
Church Meadow, approx 1 3/4 acres is available for keeping livestock
Croft Mills is the office base for a number of charities and small businesses including RoTexCo.

In Saxon times, the land surrounding the village of Stainland was divided into 'thirds' for crop rotation purposes.
Cliffe Field was the 'third' to the south of the settlement. Today it is the area south of the B6112, from the west of the Saxon Cross to Town Ing Mills. This is the Cliffe Manor Estate comprising 9 acres in total.
Cliffe Manor is a registered County Parish Holding and Cliffe Meadows Farm produces a range of organically pure vegetables and other farm products, much of which is sold directly to the public from the Farm's 'land barrow' on the lane with payments requested in the Honesty Box.
Since the early 1980's Cliffe Manor has become well known throughout the area as a 'Holiday Camp' for dogs. It is a home from home for your doggy friend or friends whilst you are away at work or play. Stainland Dog Sitters welcomes you to come and have a look around by appointment.

Cliffe Manor View Apartment is mainly accessed by the outside cast iron spiral stair in the picture. It is used entirely at your risk and definitely NOT suitable for those who would find difficulty in using such a spiral stair. However once up the stairs the view is wonderful
in winter or summer
