Interregnum.  Our churches are without a Rector / Vicar at present and are in Interregnum.
New Vicar of Blackmore, Rector of Stondon Massey and Rural Dean for Ongar appointed.
Following the interviews for our new parish priest on 30th September, the parish representatives recommended to the Bishop that an appointment be made.
We are delighted to inform you that Reverend Toni Smith, from St Winifred's Church in Chigwell [Essex, in the Chelmsford Diocese] has accepted and will be taking up her appointment here in February. The date of her Licensing Service is to be confirmed.
We are sure that Revd. Toni will bring much to our parishes and to the Deanery and we look forward to working with her in the future.

Our Vision.

In the light of God's call, and our situation here, our vision is:

1.  To extend ministry into the community.

2.  To provide a variety of functions at the Church to attract members of the community.

3.  To further liaise between Church and Village groups as an extension of our Harvest Mission week in 2005.

4.  To review Service content and make our Services more accessible to a wider congregation.
Morning Prayer.  On the first Sunday in the month the BCP Holy Communion Service is being 'rested' in place to Morning Prayer.  For practical purposes it means that the worship time can be led by lay people rather than Clergy.
New Look Website. New Pages for Stondon too.  Two new web pages have been created as part of a major upgrade to this site.
