Croesty Primary and Nursery School

Croesty Primary School was built in 1967. Education from 4years to 11years. The school population is about 250. A nursery section was added in the Autumn of 2002. Catchment area Felindre Ward (part of) and Hendre Ward (part of). The school shares a campus with Pencoed Comprehensive School. The headteacher is Mr Howard Hearing.

There are three play groups in Pencoed which cater for children under 4years of age.

Cylch Meithrin Pencoed

This is a Welsh language play group that meets in the St. David’s Church Hall, Wimborne Road. The group is run by Mrs. J. Jones, who can be contacted on 07973 429373

Felindre Play Group

This is an english medium play group that meets in the Felindre Sports Field Pavilion, Felindre Road. The group is run by Mrs. Veronica Clerk, who can be contacted on Pencoed 861758

Pencoed Play Group

This is an english medium play group that meets in the Pencoed Miners’ Welfare and Community Hall, Heol-y-Groes. The group is run by Mrs. June Tune, who can be contacted on at the Welfare Hall on Pencoed 861054
